Update...a read...not edited well.

 Update..

I have not mentioned Emile as I cannot speak of it. I can say that I think I had been preparing myself for quite some time. I had been crying for about a month…I thought it was about my friend Noulin who I lost in May..but now I know it was , in large part, preparation for losing E….
As I said, I can’t even talk about it at this point.

The entire month of June was difficult.

I have discovered an asian supermarket in Antibes. It is near an underground parking that was new to me. Parking is very problematic.
I hope to find a spot on the street that is very cheap…complicated parking meters.( baffles tourists). The french are expert at finding these spots and squeezing their cars in. If you can’t find parking on the street, you have to park in an underground lot.
The underground lots are expensive and painful. You go around and around hoping for someone to be leaving. ..then you have to get into the spot…mostly by backing in. I can’t tell you how many times i’ve hit or swiped a pillar…it always takes a long long time.
There is a free parking lot that has a shuttle. I thought I would try this the last time. The lots are pretty far out, but I figured, no problem…there is a shuttle. I could not find any info on where it stops…like everything else, I thought i’d wing it.
So I got on the shuttle…a passenger van, basically…with all the grandparents…the driver was a 20 something that drove like a maniac! He drives aways and stops to let people out…only 1 stop! It would have been closer for mr to talk from where I parked….so annoyed.

anyway, one day, I went to the Asian supermarket…I have been making sushi so I need supplies, sticky rice, pickled ginger, wasabi, soy, chili mayo, sheets of seaweed. The place is your usual jammed packed asian food store. The owner is such a nice man…he speaks perfect english and french. I made my purchases and put my wallet in my shoulder bag, or so I thought. I left the store and walked toward the Place de Gaulle ( every french town has a place de Gaulle.) I had an appointment in that area. It was market day…the area was packed. I went to get my wallet to get cash from an ATM and my wallet was not there.
I went into meltdown mode. I ran back to the asian supermarket….no, not there…I ran back up the street, looking, running into businesses. I went back to the store and they looked at the video. I had put the wallet at the top of my bag but not in! Hell!
I had gone into my insurance office and the woman said to me…go the the Police Nationale headquarters…it was a block away. I was running around like a crazy person in a panic. Through my mind went credit cards, cash…hard to get ID and insurance card…all lost.
I arrived at Police Nationale..got buzzed in and saw all of the other unfortunate people each with some kind of drama. I asked about my wallet and what do you know…it was there! Someone in a bank saw me drop it, picked it up and brought it to the police. A tall policeman came out and questioned me. They had been looking at my website…he showed me on an I pad. phew!

However, I think I injured my left knee in the craziness. I am pretty sure I over extended it, meaning I straightened it and went beyond that…pulling all of the ligaments behind my knee…I was in such a tizzy, I just ignored it.
I headed home, went to stop at the pharmacy, dug out my phone…oh no! no phone!…The last time I had it was when I was at the police station. I had it in my hand when I was talking to the officer.
I happened to be near “Orange”, the office of my cell phone carrier. I usually dread going in, but I somehow formulated the idea that I would ask them to call the phone for me. They easily could have said no, but the guy did it and who answers, Police Nationale!
I had to go all the way back to Antibes…go through the mental hell of parking and then having to go in and face the officer again…
what a day!

The next day, my landlord decided to dig up the back yard with a backhoe. I had a 30 minute warning. He drove this backhoe though the yard, down wooden steps, ripping up everything in its path. He made a terrible mess.
When he left, there was about 4” deep on dirt all over the backyard…Also, there was big chunks of concrete.
I decided to build 2 planting boxes. I really wanted to get the back area cleaned up so I started dragging the big heavy chunks of concrete out to the front for him to take. I would wait forever for him to take it away. I never should have done that. I hurt myself more ( knee)…and again, ignored it.

So much went on in June. Add that my computer died or was dying , I had to get a new one and had the computer guy at the house while E was so ill. I was so stressed out…
Eventually, I was told by the osteopath that I needed to get a scan. I was having a hard time walking. I bought a knee support…it was bad.
I went to a medical facility where you can go without an appointment or prescription. Getting a drs appointment is very hard and I would have had to have waited a week at least.
The place is in Juan Les Pins, the parking is in a super fancy structure…super expensive but much easier to park in.  Also, there are a lot of super nice cars parked in this garage…really special ones.
Anyway, 3 hours later, I had a scanned an X-ray….something leaked and there is fluid on my knee. There was an injury in the ligaments, I ignored it and it caused leakage…not a thing I can do except use the brace and start physical therapy. 15 sessions.

It was really bad and I kept re injuring it. Rune likes to ram toys into me…he also likes to put his paw around foot from behind…toy in mouth,..trying to get me to play…not good…I turn too quick and it re injures…
Lucky, it is improving. I have really rested it and worked it to keep the circulation going well . Now I am in physical therapy for 15 seances. Had a nice run around there that I will report later.
